DIVINITY DOULA

Hi! Welcome to Divinity Doula,

I provide support for families in the 4th trimester & beyond. I specialize in newborn care, breastfeeding assistance, light housekeeping, nutrition, emotional support & sibling adjustment. Helping you experience a gentler transition to parenthood.

Imagine you’ve just given birth to the most precious little person you could ever imagine. You're soaking up all the wonderful oxytocin that’s flowing between you and your baby and your heart feels so full. Now, imagine you’ve gotten home and settled in. You’re thinking to yourself that something doesn’t feel quite right. You’re having bouts of sadness, loneliness and even anger. Maybe you’re feeling unsupported and extremely overstimulated during this vulnerable time, Let’s be honest though, who wouldn’t? Take it a step further and imagine this lasts for a year after you’ve given birth.

That was me in 2016 and I was experiencing postpartum depression and I would go on to experience it for a full year after the birth of my babies. I didn’t feel like myself and was struggling to juggle the day to day and the transition into life with my new babies. I would later realize that I needed someone who’s main focus was helping me to recover.

In 2022, I discovered postpartum doula work and heard my calling to start Divinity Doula Postpartum Care. On top of doing what I love, I get to step in and provide families the support they need, whether that’s light housework & meal prep, emotional support, running small errands or even lactation support. I get to offer families the very care that I needed those years ago.

Now, here I am thriving in my healing work, my birthwork and most of all my labor of love to you.

Love,

Jernae
